Gail McDermott Mackay graduated from Suny Delhi with an A.A.S. in veterinary science and has worked in numerous areas of veterinary medicine, including emergency, internal medicine and surgery. She first realized the importance of physical rehabilitation while employed by the University of Tennessee, where the CCRP program originated. Working with post-op orthopedic patients in the ICU/trauma ward prompted her to become a certified canine rehab practitioner. Gail also has a special interest in geriatric massage, and is certified in massage therapy . When not at work, Gail loves spending time boating, skiing and camping with her husband and daughter. She and her family—including their four cats and two dogs—live near Richmond, VA.
