Dr. Katie Bell is a Virginia native and grew up just outside of Washington DC. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, followed by a Master’s degree in Physiology from North Carolina State University. During this time she acquired a wide variety of veterinary experience, including working as a veterinary assistant in small animal veterinary medicine and volunteering with a tiger rescue in North Carolina. Dr. Bell went on to complete veterinary school at Michigan State University. Following graduation, she stayed on with Michigan State for an additional year to complete an intensive small animal rotating internship. Dr. Bell’s special interests within emergency medicine include toxicities, neurology, and wound management. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with her husband and three dogs, Berkeley, Turtle, and Minnie.
