Dr. Nicole Laia grew up in California prior to moving to Tennessee for veterinary school. After graduating from the University of Tennessee, she completed a small animal rotating internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists. Dr. Laia then practiced emergency medicine for several years in Nashville. Realizing that she missed long-term relationships with clients and pets, she pursued a residency in small animal internal medicine at the University of Illinois. In her spare time, Dr. Laia enjoys hiking, spending time on the lake, and cooking.
