Dr. Moffitt is originally from LaPorte, IN and attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. Interested in studying veterinary medicine abroad, she moved to the island of St. Kitts in the west Indies to attend Ross University. Her clinical year took place at NC State University and she graduated with her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University. Upon graduation she took an emergency-based internship at Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center in Richmond, VA. Dr. Moffitt has shown horses for over 15 years, and was involved in 4-H during some of those years. She has two horses, Pokey and Cappy, and a lovable island dog named Odie. She enjoys spending time exercising, being active outdoors, cooking, playing with her dog and riding her horses.
